Shelby M. Nichols, BS

Shelby Nichols is a current research associate for the Suicide CPR Initiative. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a minor in applied statistical analyses. Prior to joining the lab, Shelby worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the PAIRS laboratory studying the effects of altered decision-making and physiological arousal as mechanisms between social exclusion and suicide risk under the guidance of Dr. Sarah Brown. Her research interests include studying the interpersonal processes and neurophysiological responses to suicidal thoughts and behaviors in at-risk individuals.
